Advent, a season of preparation for Christmas, begins November 27.
On Sundays, we will gather to discuss a sermon of Barth’s at 10a, then hear a sermon on the same scripture during worship. On Tuesdays, during our Conversations at Create, we will be looking at some of Barth’s writing on Jesus- who he is and why it matters. More information and all readings are available under the formations tab.
A new service of Morning Prayer began last week and will be ongoing: Tuesdays at 8:45a in the sanctuary. Join us as we pray for our community, our concerns, and our world.
On Tuesday, November 29, we will be doing a prayer walk around our community. To join, meet us at the Create Cafe at 10:30a.
During Victorian Christmas, on Saturday, December 3, Holy Trinity will be hosting an afternoon of music and art. From 1p-5p different musicians will be performing in our sanctuary and our parish hall and sanctuary will be filled with local art. The events are free and open to everyone. Come enjoy some Christmas cheer!
Additionally, that day we are a hosting one of the wineries for the Chamber of Commerce Wine Walk. That event requires a ticket, which can be obtained here.
Fieldstone is back! Together with the Jefferson County History Center, we will welcome back this fantastic Irish band to our space on December 19th at 7p. Tickets are $10 at the door, which benefits the history center.
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day:
During the day on Christmas Eve, we will be making bagged lunches to distribute to folks in the community on Christmas Day. Stop by between 1-4p to help out! Then on Christmas Day, we will take the meals around town at 12:30p. If you would like a Christmas lunch delivered to you, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and address.
Join us as we celebrate the birth of Christ with a service of carols, candle-lighting, and Eucharist on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, at 6:30p. Then on Christmas Day, let’s take joy into the streets: meet us to Christmas carol in the neighborhoods of Brookville at 1p on Dec. 25 in the bank parking lot across from Holy Trinity.
